Uses
- In the treatment of depressive disorder
- In alleviating symptoms of anxiety disorder
- Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
- In alleviating symptoms of fatigue, irritability and restlessness
Contraindications
- If you have a known allergy to Escigress CZ tablet or other components.
- If you’ve taken MAOIs (Monoamine oxidase inhibitors) within the last 14 days.
- If you have taken Pimozide. Because of the increased risk of QT prolongation, these medications should not be taken together.
- If you have liver problems, it may worsen your condition.
- If you have a compulsive obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma, the respiratory depressive effects of the Escigress CZ tablet can be fatal.
- If you have angle-closure Glaucoma Glaucoma (optic nerve issue).
- If you have renal impairment or are on medication for kidney disorders.
Side effects
- Delayed ejaculation

- Anorgasmia (decreased orgasm)
- Low sexual desire
- Nausea
- Convulsions
- To minimise unfavourable results, the patient should visit a doctor regularly.

Directions for Use
- For the dosage of the Escigress CZ, follow the doctor's instructions.
- Read all the instructions printed over the bottle carefully.
- The doctor will determine the dose and frequency of administration.
- It is advisable not to handle the tablets with damp, wet hands.
- Escigress CZ tablets are best to take at a fixed time every day.
- Do not crush or break the medication in any way.
- Take medicine with a glass of water and swallow your pills whole.

Interactions with other medicines
- The medication should not be taken with Atenolol or Codeine, Carbamazepine, rifampin, and rifabutin; these may increase clonazepam metabolism and reduce its therapeutic impact.
- Cimetidine, clarithromycin, clozapine, CNS depressants, disulfiram, ethanol, etc., may increase clonazepam serum levels and toxicity. Monitoring for benzodiazepine response changes is essential.
Interactions with food items
- Grapefruit juice is reported to interact with this medication.
