Description

Enhertu injection is an anti-cancer medication used by specialists to treat certain types of breast cancer, stomach cancer, gastroesophageal junction cancer, and non-small cell lung cancer. Trastuzumab deruxtecan is a targeted treatment that combines two effective components. The first component, trastuzumab, attaches to a specific protein called HER2, which is found in some breast cancer cells. The second component, deruxtecan, is a chemotherapy drug that is delivered directly into the cancer cell by trastuzumab. Once inside the cell, deruxtecan works to kill the cancer cell. Enhertu injection may be given alone or in combination with other cancer treatments, such as chemotherapy or hormone therapy, depending on the specific type and stage of the cancer.
