Severe kidney and liver disease
Moderate to severe high blood pressure

Mode of Action of Elipran 20 MG

How Does It Work?

Eletriptan reduces the blood flow in the arteries supplying the brain and stops the release of neuropeptides (nerve cell messengers) to reduce pain.

Directions for Use of Elipran 20 MG

Elipran 20mg is to be taken orally as directed by the physician
Do not break, crush or chew the tablet
Swallow the tablet with a glass of water
Do not take more than the recommended dose

Interactions of Elipran 20 MG

Interactions with other medicines

Propranolol, verapamil and fluconazole, erythromycin, and ketoconazole increased the effects of eletriptan
Eletriptan should not be given to patients taking ketoconazole, itraconazole, erythromycin, clarithromycin, josamycin and protease inhibitors within 72 hours of giving these medicines

Interactions with food items

Alcoholic beverages may cause dizziness and drowsiness in some patients

Other general Interactions

Triptans and herbal medicines containing St. John's wort can lead to side effects
