Efavir Tablet is used to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection. It contains efavirenz as the main active ingredient. It helps reduce the amount of the virus in your blood, strengthens your immune system, and lowers the risk of developing HIV-related illnesses. It is recommended that it be taken on an empty stomach at bedtime, as this can help reduce side effects such as dizziness and drowsiness. Swallow the tablet whole with water.

Pregnancy

If you could become pregnant, you must use a reliable barrier method of contraception (like condoms) along with other methods (like oral or hormonal contraceptives). The medicine can stay in your blood for some time after stopping, so continue contraception for 12 weeks after your last dose.

Breast Feeding
