Description
Efavir Tablet is used to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection. It contains efavirenz as the main active ingredient. It helps reduce the amount of the virus in your blood, strengthens your immune system, and lowers the risk of developing HIV-related illnesses. It is recommended that it be taken on an empty stomach at bedtime, as this can help reduce side effects such as dizziness and drowsiness. Swallow the tablet whole with water.
Common side effects include skin rash, abnormal dreams, difficulty concentrating, dizziness, and headache. This medicine must always be taken in combination with other anti-HIV medicines. It is important to note that this medicine does not cure HIV infection.

- If any one of your family members (parents, grandparents, brothers, or sisters) have died suddenly due to a heart problem or was born with heart problems.
- Your doctor has told you that you have high or low levels of electrolytes like potassium or magnesium in your blood.
