Doxcef 50mg Dry Syp, containing cefpodoxime, belongs to the group of antibiotics called cephalosporins.

Uses of Doxcef 50mg Dry Syp

Doxcef 50mg Dry Syp use is to treat the bacterial infections of the skin, throat, tonsils, ear, sinuses and urinary tract. It is also used in the treatment of bronchitis, gonorrhoea and pneumonia.

Contraindications of Doxcef 50mg Dry Syp

The medicine is contraindicated in case of allergy to cefpodoxime or any other ingredients in the syrup. It is also not advisable for patients with abnormal liver function tests and Clostridium difficile colitis.
