Uses
- As per CDSCO, Depran L Tablet is used for,
- Treatment of symptoms associated with comorbid depression (improves mood and general behaviour).
- Treatment of anxiety disorder, panic disorder and other mood disorders.

- You have suicidal thoughts after taking Derpan L Tablet.
- You experience any changes in your sexual desires after taking Depran L Tablet.
- You are an elderly patient over the age of 65. Depran L medicine can cause increased side effects due to slow metabolism.
- You are a child below the age of 18, as there are not enough studies on this medicine's safety.
- You have any respiratory/lung diseases, use this medicine with caution.
- You are taking any ayurvedic or herbal medicines and supplements, inform your doctor as some of them can cause serious adverse effects.
- You are trying to do something that requires your focus. This medicine can affect the focus and cause drowsiness.
Directions for Use
- Take the Depran L Tablet in the exact dosage and at the same time every day.
- Do not exceed the dosage of Depran L Tablet, even if you cannot notice its effects.
- Take Depran L Tablet as a whole with a glass of water, without breaking, chewing or crushing it.
- Do not use Depran L Tablet with other medications without informing your doctor.
- Do not discontinue Depran L Tablet abruptly, as it can have unwanted side effects due to withdrawal effects.

- Depran L Tablet overdose can cause dizziness, muscle tremors, irritation, nausea, vomiting, low blood pressure, increased heart rate, sodium and potassium electrolyte imbalance, confusion, sleep disturbances, low reflexes, convulsion and loss of consciousness. If you overdose on Depran L medicine and experience any of these symptoms, immediately seek emergency medical treatment from a hospital close to your place.

Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Using certain anti-anxiety and mood disorder medications, such as linezolid, moclobemide, selegiline, etc., with the Depran L Tablet can cause severe reactions.
- Do not take other medications that cause drowsiness, such as allergy medicine (cetirizine), cold or cough medicine, opiates or narcotic pain relievers (like codeine, tramadol) with Depran L Tablets. It can increase the adverse effects and cause severe drowsiness.
- If you are already using medicines for seizure disorders (fits), inform your doctor as it can increase the side effects of the Depran L Tablet.
- If you are using other anti-depression medication (like sertraline, paroxetine, etc.), do not use it with a Depran L Tablet without informing your doctor, as they can have severe reactions.
- While using this medicine, avoid taking St. John’s wort (a herbal product). It can increase serotonin levels in your body and cause serious side effects due to serotonin syndrome (serotonin toxicity).
Interactions with food items
- It would be better to avoid drinks such as coffee, tea, and cola or eating a lot of chocolate because these contain caffeine. Caffeine is a stimulant and may reduce the calming effects of this medicine.
- Avoid drinking grapefruit juice and cranberry juice, or eating those fruits, while you are taking Depran L Tablets, as they can increase the levels of this medicine in your blood.
