Medical Description

Coversyl AM 8/5 tablet is an anti-hypertensive medication. It contains a combination of perindopril and amlodipine as active substances. It is used for the management of high blood pressure. Coversyl

AM 8/5 tablet should be taken in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not stop taking this medicine on your own. Before starting Coversyl AM 8/5 tablet, inform your doctor if you are pregnant/breastfeeding and about your complete medical history. If pregnancy is detected during treatment with this medicine, discontinue the use of this medicine as soon as possible.

Coversyl AM 8/5 tablet is used for the management of high blood pressure.

Contraindications of COVERSYL AM 8/5 TABLET

  • If you are allergic to perindopril, amlodipine, other ACE inhibitors, or any other ingredient of Coversyl AM 8/5 tablet.
  • If you have a history of swelling under the skin (angioedema) with or without the use of medicines called ACE inhibitors.
  • If you have diabetes and are taking a medicine that contains aliskiren.

Pregnancy

  • You have kidney disorders.
  • You have diabetes.
  • You are taking medicines called potassium-sparing diuretics, potassium supplements, and/or potassium-containing salt substitutes.

Directions for Use of COVERSYL AM 8/5 TABLET

  • Take Coversyl AM 8/5 tablet as a whole with sufficient water.
  • This medicine can be taken with or without food.
  • Always take this medicine exactly as prescribed by your doctor.
  • Do not cut, break, or chew the medicine.
  • Do not consume more than the prescribed dose.
  • Do not discontinue the medicine on your own without consulting your doctor.

Storage and disposal of COVERSYL AM 8/5 TABLET

  • Store Coversyl AM 8/5 tablet at 25°C in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.
  • Keep out of reach of children and pets.
