- Ritonavir: Can increase Colchicine levels and can lead to more side effects
- Disulfiram: Concomitant use can increase blood Colchicine levels and increase side effects
- Cimetidine: Concomitant use may lead to increased blood Colchicine levels
- Tolbutamide: Simultaneous use can increase blood Colchicine levels
- Digoxin: Can increase the risk of rhabdomylosis, a muscle disease
- Antifungal medicines like ketoconazole, etc. can cause colchicine toxicity
- Heart medicines like verapimil and dilitiazem can cause colchicine toxicity
Interactions with food items
Grapefruit juice can cause increase in the levels of colchicine in your blood and should be avoided.
