Clovate 0.05% Cream contains clobetasol, which is a steroid used in the treatment of itching associated with eczema, psoriasis, allergies, and similar skin diseases.
Uses of Clovate 0.05% Cream
The uses of Clovate 0.05% Cream include the treatment of severe itching in psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis. It is also used to relieve redness, swelling, itching, pain, and burning sensation in various skin diseases.
Contraindications of Clovate 0.05% Cream
Clobetasol is not advisable for use in children below 12 months of age It should not be used in patients with hypersensitivity to clobetasol or any other ingredients of the medicine It is not to be used for the treatment of acne, rosacea (flushing of skin on and around the nose), perioral dermatitis (red rash with spots around the mouth), infected skin, and itching in the genital areas

The side effects of Clovate 0.05% Cream are dry skin, acne, hair loss, stretch marks, burning, and skin irritation at application site. Prolonged use may cause mood changes, sleep disturbances, weight gain, and swelling of the face, lips, or eyelids, and slow growth rate in children.

The medicine is not suitable for use in pregnancy.
