- As per CDSCO, Clopam 0.5 mg Tab is used in,
- Treatment of anxiety disorder
- Treatment of epilepsy/seizures
- Treatment of panic attacks
Contraindications
- If you have a liver disorder

- If you have respiratory problems, including asthma
- If you are pregnant or planning a pregnancy

Other General Warnings
- You have a history of addiction or substance abuse. This medication has a significant potential for addiction and habit formation.
- You want to discontinue Clopam 0.5 mg Tab or have missed multiple doses. Abrupt discontinuation of Clopam Tab might cause nausea, anxiety, trembling, flu-like symptoms, tremor, and disorientation.
- You conceive during the course of Clopam Tab.
- You experience side effects that are persistent or worsen with time.
Directions for Use
- Clopam 0.5 mg Tab is available as a tablet and an orally disintegrating tablet.
- Clopam 0.5 mg Tab is usually prescribed one to three times per day, and it can be taken with or without meals.
- Take the recommended dose of Clopam 0.5 mg Tab at the same time every day for the prescribed duration.
- To remove the tablet from the foil, pull aside the foil wrapper with dry hands instead of pushing the tablet through the foil. Once unwrapped, take the tablet right away.
- Clopam 0.5 mg Tab can be taken with or without water.

Interactions with other medicines
- Consuming Clopam 0.5 mg Tab with the following medications might cause impaired coordination, memory impairment, and other severe side effects:
- Antianxiety medicines such as fluvoxamine, carbamazepine, primidone, phenobarbital, phenytoin
- Asthma medications, including theophylline
- Beta-blockers like atenolol
- Anticonvulsants such as carbamazepine
- Antihistamines including cetirizine
- Narcotic analgesics like codeine
Interactions with food items
- There is no known interaction between Clopam 0.5 mg Tab and food. However, seek medical advice before consuming Clopam 0.5 mg Tab.
- Try to minimise your intake of coffee with added salt, sugar, and trans-fats while on Clopam Tab.
