Cernos 100mg Injection 1ml
Description
Cernos solution for injection is a testosterone replacement medicine used when the body is unable to produce enough of the natural male hormone testosterone. Testosterone is important for the development of male reproductive organs and features such as facial and body hair, a deeper voice, muscle growth, and sexual drive. When levels are very low, men may experience delayed puberty, decreased energy, infertility, weak bones, mood changes, and difficulty getting an erection. This injection helps restore hormone levels, allowing these functions to improve.
Your doctor or nurse will give this injection in a hospital or clinic. It is not meant for self-use at home. The dose and frequency depend on your condition and hormone levels. Regular follow-up is important because the doctor may adjust your dose based on your response and any side effects. Monitoring may include blood tests for haemoglobin, calcium, electrolytes, and prostate health.
This medicine is not suitable for everyone. It should not be used by individuals allergic to testosterone, those with prostate tumours or breast cancers, or anyone pregnant or planning pregnancy. It should also be avoided in people with peanut or soybean allergy. Before starting treatment, inform your doctor if you have heart, liver, kidney, or lung disease, sleep apnoea, diabetes, a history of blood clots, or high calcium levels. Your doctor will decide if this injection is safe for you.
Some people may experience side effects such as acne, hair thinning, weight gain, pain at the injection site, breast enlargement in men, changes in mood or sleep, or an increase in red blood cells. Women receiving supportive therapy may notice a deeper voice or increased body hair. These effects vary from person to person, and your doctor will guide you on how to manage them if they occur. Avoid taking this medicine with certain other medications, such as warfarin, corticosteroids, or diabetes medicines, without consulting your doctor, as interactions may occur.
Cernos solution for injection does not generally affect your ability to drive, and there is no strong evidence of harmful interaction with alcohol, although it is still better to avoid drinking during treatment. If you experience anything unusual after the injection or have any concerns, report them to your doctor promptly. Proper use under medical supervision helps ensure the treatment is effective and safe.
