Medical Description
Cefumax tablet is an antibiotic used for selected bacterial infections of the lungs, urinary tract, skin, soft tissues and blood, and for preventing infection around some operations. It contains cefuroxime, which blocks bacterial cell-wall building and causes susceptible bacteria to die. This helps the immune system clear the infection, but it does not work against viral illnesses such as colds or flu. Cefumax tablet is taken by mouth with water, with food when advised, under a doctor's direction.
