Brezvent Ls Syrup 100ml Description

Brezvent LS Syrup 100ml contains a combination of three medicines, i.e., ambroxol, guaiphenesin, and levosalbutamol. This syrup is used to relieve chest congestion. Ambroxol and guaiphenesin reduce m

ucous secretion's viscosity and reduce the obstruction of airways. Levosalbutamol dilates the smooth muscles, which results in the opening of the airways. This medicine is only available on a doctor's prescription and should be taken at a dose and for a duration prescribed by the doctor. Do not use this medicine during pregnancy and breastfeeding unless recommended by a doctor. In addition, this medicine is not recommended in children below 6 years of age. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor if you are allergic to any ingredients or if you have other health problems. Brezvent LS syrup can cause headache, dizziness, nervousness, nausea, vomiting, or stomach pain as side effects. If these effects persist or worsen, or if you notice other side effects, seek medical help immediately.

Interactions with other medicines

Concomitant use of beclomethasone or theophylline increases respiratory function
Concomitant use of beta-blockers inhibits bronchodilator effect of the syrup
Concomitant use of xanthine or diuretics increases risk of low potassium levels in blood
Concomitant use of digitalis increases digitalis toxicity
Concomitant use of other bronchodilators and adrenergic medicines increases the effect of the syrup
Concomitant use of monoamine oxidase inhibitors or tricyclic antidepressants increases the effect on heart
Concomitant use of haloperidol increases the blood levels of haloperidol
Concomitant use of ritonavir, cenobamate, or pitolisant decreases the blood levels of ambroxol
Ambroxol decreases the metabolism of tucatinib
