Medical Description

Betadine gargle is an antiseptic and disinfectant solution used to treat oral infections, such as sore throats, mouth ulcers, and gum swelling. It contains a 2% povidone-iodine solution and is used as a mouthwash to kill germs that cause mouth infections. Your dentist may also provide this oral rinse during or after dental procedures.

Betadine gargle should not be swallowed and is not recommended for children below 12 years of age. Use the dosing cup provided with the package and avoid contact with your eyes and silver jewellery.
