• If your child is allergic to artemether, lumefantrine or any other ingredients of syrup.
• If you have severe malaria.
• If you are taking CYP2D6 enzyme-dependent medications such as metoprolol, imipramine, clomipramine, and amitriptyline, they can interact with other medications and may affect heart rhythm.
• If you have a family history of sudden death or genetic QTc interval lengthening.
• If you are on medications that prolong the QT interval on the ECG.
• If you have a history of heart arrhythmias, low blood pressure, or heart failure.
• If you have electrolyte abnormalities such as hypokalaemia or hypomagnesemia.
• If you are taking rifampin, carbamazepine, phenytoin, or St. John's Wort.

• Palpitation

• Loss of appetite

Other General Warnings

• If you have severe malaria.
• If you have liver or kidney problems.
• If you have a heart condition, especially one that affects your heart rhythm.
• If you are taking or have taken other antimalarial medications.
• If you have a malaria infection caused by both Plasmodium falciparum and Plasmodium vivax parasites, your treatment plan may need to be adjusted.
• If you feel worse after taking the medicine, and do not feel like eating or drinking anything.
• If you are taking medications for HIV.
• If you are taking St. John's Wort (Hypericum perforatum).

• Give syrup to your child with high-fat foods or beverages, such as milk, as prescribed by the doctor.
• Shake it well before use. Use a measuring cup, spoon or dropper for the exact quantity.

• Store syrup below 25°C in a cool and dry place.
• Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.

How Does It Work?

• Avoid taking mefloquine with this medicine as it may decrease the effectiveness of the medication.
• Avoid taking hormonal contraceptives with this medicine, as they may become less effective.
• Avoid taking medications that prolong the QT interval, such as flecainide, imipramine, amitriptyline, and clomipramine, as they may increase the risk of heart rhythm disturbances.
• Use quinine with caution when combined with this medication, as it may reduce its effectiveness.
• Be cautious with antibiotics, antidepressants, neuroleptics, and cardiac medications, as they may increase the risk of heart rhythm disturbances.
