Medical Description

Ascoril D Plus Syrup Sugar-Free is commonly used to alleviate common cold symptoms such as runny or stuffy nose, sneezing, watery eyes, nasal congestion and cough. It contains a combination of dextromethorphan, chlorpheniramine, and phenylephrine as active ingredients.

Ascoril D Plus Syrup can be taken with or without food per your doctor's advice. The prescribed dosage depends on your specific condition and how you respond to treatment. It's important to adhere to the prescribed course and not discontinue the medication prematurely, as doing so may result in a return of symptoms or a worsening of your condition.

Common side effects include headaches, drowsiness, double vision, vomiting, diarrhea, dry mouth, and nausea. These are mild and will improve, but consult your doctor if they persist or worsen.

Ascoril D Plus Syrup can cause drowsiness, so avoid activities that require full concentration, such as driving. It's crucial not to self-medicate or share your medication with others. Staying hydrated while on this medication is beneficial.

Before taking Ascoril D Plus, tell your doctor if you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding. Also, discuss any existing kidney or liver conditions to ensure you get the correct dose.

Other syrups with dextromethorphan, chlorpheniramine, and phenylephrine include Chericof syrup, Chericof Sf syrup, and Xl 90 Plus syrup.
