Ambrolite S SF Expectorant is used to treat cough associated with infections in the airways, asthma, shortness of breath and lung infections. It contains a combination of ambroxol, guaiphenesin, menthol, and terbutaline as its active ingredients.
This medicine helps to expel mucus and reduces coughing and breathlessness. This syrup should be used cautiously if you have liver or kidney-related problems. Additionally, discuss any other underlying medical conditions you may have before starting the treatment.
Ambrolite S SF Expectorant should not be given with any other cough or cold medicines. If you do not experience relief and continue to have a persistent cough, fever, and other additional symptoms, discontinue use and consult a physician. Shake the bottle well before each use.

How Does It Work?
- Ambroxol acts as a mucolytic agent. It works by loosening and thinning the mucus in the respiratory passages, making the mucus less sticky. Thereby helping to remove the cough.
- Terbutaline has bronchodilator properties. It relaxes the muscles of the airways and inhibits the release of substances that cause inflammation. Thereby, it improves airflow to the lungs and helps make breathing easier.
- Guaifenesin is an expectorant that helps thin the mucus in the airways, making it easier to cough out and clear the airways.
- Menthol acts by soothing the airways.
