Alsita Tablet is an anti-diabetic medication. It contains sitagliptin as the active ingredient. It is used to lower the blood sugar levels in people suffering from type 2 diabetes. You may be given t

his medicine alone or in combination with some other medicines for diabetes, depending upon your body's requirement. Take this medicine in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. Do not miss any dose or take more than the dose recommended by the doctor. This medicine is not recommended for use in patients below 18 years of age. Before starting the treatment with Alsita Tablet, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding and about your detailed medical history.

Talk to your doctor if

You experience abdominal pain for a long time.
You suffer from serious kidney disease.
You have a disease-causing blisters on the skin (pemphigus).
You have or had gallbladder stones.
You have high levels of fat (triglycerides).
You have a serious complication of diabetes (diabetic ketoacidosis).
You have type 1 diabetes (childhood-onset diabetes), this medicine should not be taken in such cases.

Take Alsita Tablet as a whole with a sufficient amount of water, with or without food.
You should take this medicine regularly at the same time without fail as directed by your doctor.
You should not consume it more than the prescribed medicine.
Do not discontinue the medicine on your own.
