Description

Alitop injection is an antibiotic used to treat serious bacterial infections such as septicemia, lower respiratory tract infections, meningitis (Serious CNS infections), intra-abdominal infections, skin, bone, and soft tissue infections. It contains tobramycin as the active ingredient. It works by stopping bacteria from making proteins they need to grow, which helps kill the bacteria and clear the infection.

Do not take Alitop injection if you are allergic to tobramycin or other similar antibiotics. Always inform your doctor about any past allergic reactions to medications you have experienced.

Some side effects include hearing loss, dizziness, kidney issues, allergic reactions, and nerve or skin problems. Avoid using it with other medicines that can harm the kidneys or ears, and be careful if you're taking water pills or muscle relaxants.

This medicine is usually given by a doctor or nurse. It’s not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless absolutely necessary. Avoid driving if you feel dizzy or unsteady, and avoid alcohol as it may worsen side effects. Always follow your doctor's advice and report any unusual symptoms.
