• Treatment of chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) in patients for whom fludarabine combination chemotherapy is not appropriate.
• Treatment of indolent non-Hodgkin lymphomas (NHL) as monotherapy in patients who progressed during or within 6 months following treatment with rituximab or a rituximab-containing regimen.
• First-line treatment of multiple myeloma in combination with prednisone for patients older than 65 years who are not eligible for autologous stem cell transplantation and have clinical neuropathy at diagnosis that prevents the use of thalidomide- or bortezomib-containing treatment.

• If you have a known hypersensitivity or severe allergic reaction to bendamustine hydrochloride or any of the inactive ingredients.
• If you have severe liver impairment (total bilirubin greater than 3.0 mg/dL).
• If you have severe bone marrow suppression or severe blood count abnormalities (leukocyte count <3,000/µL or platelet count <75,000/µL).
• If you have an infection, especially if it's associated with leukopenia.
• If you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
• After major surgery within the previous 30 days.
• If you are due to receive a yellow fever vaccination.

Other General Warnings

• You have signs of an active infection, such as fever, chills, or a persistent cough.
• You notice severe skin rashes, blistering, or mucosal sores, which may indicate a serious dermatological reaction.

Interactions with other medicines

• Concomitant treatment with cyclosporine or tacrolimus may result in excessive immunosuppression.
• Bendamustine is partly metabolised by CYP1A2. Medicines that inhibit CYP1A2, such as fluvoxamine, ciprofloxacin, acyclovir, and cimetidine, may potentially affect bendamustine metabolism.
