How Does It Work?
- Mometasone is a topical steroid. It acts by inhibiting the production of certain chemical messengers (prostaglandins) that are responsible for redness, itching and swelling on the skin. Thereby helps in reducing the inflammation associated with it.
- Nadifloxacin is an antibiotic medicine that inhibits the growth and multiplication process of bacteria responsible for the infection. Thus, it helps getting rid of bacterial skin infections.
- Terbinafine works by inhibiting squalene epoxidase, an enzyme needed to make ergosterol, which is essential for the fungal cell membrane. Thereby it leads to a decrease in the production of ergosterol, weakens the outer membrane of the fungus and ultimately leads to its death and prevents the growth of fungus.
- The collective action of these components helps in reducing the symptoms of inflammation associated with bacterial and fungal infection.
