Ivermectin

Ivermectin should not be used during pregnancy as there is limited safety information available in pregnant women. Please consult the doctor if you are pregnant or think you may be pregnant before starting the medicine.

Components of the medicine pass in breast milk in low amounts. Inform the doctor that you are breastfeeding while he/she prescribes you the medicine.

Consuming oral preparation like tablets and suspension makes you feel dizzy and sleepy. Avoid driving if you experience these side effects. Topical preparations containing Ivermectin have no or negligible influence on driving ability.

There is no known interaction between alcohol and Ivermectin.

Common side effects are generally mild and may include dizziness, nausea or vomiting, diarrhea, fatigue, and headache.

Seek immediate medical help if you experience signs of a severe allergic reaction (difficulty breathing, swelling of the face/throat, severe rash) or serious side effects like confusion, unexplained sleepiness, seizures, severe eye problems (redness, loss of vision), or severe skin reactions (blistering/peeling).

Avoid driving or operating heavy machinery until you know how Ivermectin affects you, as it can cause dizziness. Tell your doctor if you have a history of liver problems or seizures, or if you have recently traveled to areas where a parasites are common.
