Cilnidipine is not rendered ‘safe’ for use during pregnancy. Hence, it should not usually be used during pregnancy because other relatively safer alternatives to control blood pressure are available.
Breast Feeding

A:
The extent of excretion of the medicine in mother’s milk is not exactly known. Hence, it is preferable to avoid Cilnidipine during lactation.
Driving

Can I drive if I have consumed Cilnidipine?
A:
It is advised to avoid driving during the medication of Cilnidipine as it causes sleepiness and drowsiness while driving.
Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Cilnidipine?
A:
Consumption of alcohol with Cilnidipine may cause a decrease in blood pressure so avoid alcohol while using this medicine.

Dietary Restrictions

Dosage
Overdose
You must immediately report to an emergency medical care unit as there are chances of excessive lowering of blood pressure with an overdose. This could be dangerous.
Missed a Dose
If you missed any dose, take it as soon as you remember. However, if it is almost time for the next dose, then skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosage schedule. Do not take a double dose of medicine to compensate for a missed one....
