Camylofin+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen

• Camylofin+Paracetamol is used for the treatment of abdominal pain due to obstruction in the urinary tract, bile duct, and intestine.
• It is also used in painful menstruation (dysmenorrhea) to relieve cramps and pain.

When should one not use Camylofin+Paracetamol / Acetaminophen

• If you are allergic to camylofin, paracetamol or similar medicines
• If you are suffering from any severe liver disease
• If you have bleeding issuses in gastrointestinal tract
• If you have an enlarged prostate
• If you have an eye condition (glaucoma)
• If you have megacolon, abnormal dilation of the large intestine
• If you have any condition known as mechanical stenoses
• If you have difficulty in passing urine or completely voiding bladder
• If you have a rare hereditary disease of blood called porphyria
• If you experience fast heartbeats

Common side effects of this drug are:

• Drowsiness
• Headache
• Dry mouth
• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Constipation

Other General Warnings

• You are suffering from any heart, liver or kidney disease
• You are taking other medications which are composed of paracetamol
• You recently had or will be having a heart surgery
• You are taking medicines like Amantadine (used in Parkinson's disease), Quinidine (used in heart disease) or Amitriptyline, Doxepin which are used to treat brain related disorder
• You have fever, thyroid related disorder, difficulty in passing urine, uneven heart beats or lung related condition
• You are suffering from glaucoma or urinary retention
• You are pregnant or breastfeeding
• You are suffering from chronic malnutrition
• You have a condition called pyloric stenosis (gastric outlet obstruction)
• You have a prostate problem (like Benign prostate enlargement)
• You have phenylketonuria (an inherited condition in which a special diet must be followed to prevent mental retardation)
• You are above 65 years of age

Interactions with other medicines

• Some medicines can affect the way camylofin+paracetamol works or this medicine itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
• Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
• Especially if you are taking medicines to treat your heart, liver or kidney problems, psychiatric illness, allergy, Parkinson's disease or are taking antacids, medicines to relieve pain.
