Solvin Cold AF Syrup
Description
Solvin Cold AF syrup is a cough and cold preparation. It contains a combination of chlorpheniramine and phenylephrine as active substances. Chlorpheniramine is an antiallergic, and phenylephrine is a decongestant. SolvinCold AF syrup is used for temporary relief in the common cold and allergic rhinitis. It helps improve symptoms such as a runny, stuffy nose, sneezing, and throat irritation.
This medicine should not be used in patients with heart-related problems. Take this medicine exactly as advised by your doctor, in the exact dose and duration. Avoid using it for a prolonged duration when not required. Before using this medicine, inform the doctor if you are pregnant, planning a pregnancy, or breastfeeding, and about your detailed medical history.
According to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Solvin Cold AF Syrup should not be used in children under 4 years of age.

Contraindications
- If you are allergic to chlorpheniramine or phenylephrine or any of the ingredients of SolvinCold AF syrup.
- If you have taken medicines for brain disorders such as rasagiline in the last 14 days. If you are not sure what these medicines are please confirm with your doctor.
- If you are suffering from high blood pressure or heart disease.
- If you have diabetes or increased pressure inside the eyes (glaucoma).
- If you are suffering from an overactive thyroid gland or breathing problems like bronchitis.
- If you experience difficulty in urination due to an enlarged prostate gland.

- You have a history of tumour in the adrenal gland.

- Shake well before use.

- This medicine should not be taken along with medicines used to treat heart failures such as digoxin as it can increase the risk of irregular heartbeat or heart attack.
- Anti-epileptic medicines like phenytoin and ergot-containing medicines should not be consumed along with SolvinCold AF syrup, as they can lead to toxicity.
- Other medicines like medicines to induce sleep or anti-anxiety medicines and certain painkillers should be used cautiously as they can induce sedation.
