Zyrop contains erythropoietin and is used to treat anaemia (decrease in red blood cells) due to kidney disease, blood disorders, cancer treatment or other causes (eg, medicine-induced). It helps over
come symptoms of anaemia like weakness, recurrent infections, etc.

Contraindications of Zyrop 5000 IU
- Uncontrolled hypertension
- Chronic liver failure
- Intracerebral haemorrhage (bleeding in the brain)
- Allergy to erythropoietin or any of the other components
- Patients who develop antibody-mediated pure red cell aplasia (PRCA) following treatment with erythropoietin
- POst-surgery patients who cannot receive antithrombotic prophylaxis

How Does It Work?
Zyrop contains erythropoietin which is a hormone that helps the body to make red blood cells, which treats anaemia. Erythropoetin is a natually occuring hormone in the body.

Interactions with other medicines
- When given along with cyclosporine for long, levels of cyclosporine should be monitored.
