Medical Description
Zentel tablet is a medicine used to treat worm infections in the stomach or intestines. Its active ingredient is albendazole, which works by depriving the worm of glucose and other energy sources, ultimately leading to its death. The Zentel 400 tablet is specifically designed for this purpose and is effective against various types of worms.
Zentel Chewable Tablet should be taken as prescribed by your doctor. Avoid missing any dose and complete the full course of treatment even if you feel better. Side effects may include vomiting, dizziness, increased liver enzymes, nausea, and loss of appetite. Consult your doctor if these persist. Blood and liver function tests may be conducted during treatment.
Zentel Chewable Tablet is not recommended for those who have had an allergic reaction to its ingredients or similar medicines in the past. Before taking this medicine, inform your doctor about your medical history and any other medications you are taking. Allergic reactions may cause a skin rash, difficulty breathing, or swelling of the face or tongue.
Some other tablets with albendazole are the Noworm tablet, Bendex tablet, Zeebee tablet, Bandy chewable tablet and Abd tablet. Children under 2 years of age should not take Zentel 400. Side effects of this tablet include stomach discomfort or pain, gas, and headache.
