Medical Description
Ventocef LB tablet is a combination antibiotic medicine used for selected bacterial infections of the ear, nose, sinuses, throat, lungs, urinary system and reproductive tract, including typhoid fever and gonorrhoea. It contains cefixime, which stops susceptible bacteria from building their protective cell wall, and lactobacillus, a probiotic that may help support helpful gut organisms during antibiotic treatment. The antibiotic treats the infection, while lactobacillus is included to support digestion and reduce antibiotic-related bowel disturbance. Ventocef LB tablet is swallowed whole with sufficient water as prescribed.
