Contraindications of Usibon 300 MG
- Allergy to ursodeoxycholic acid or ursodiol, bile acids, or any of the ingredients in ursodiol tablets
- Calcified cholesterol stones, radiopaque stones, or radiolucent bile pigment stones
- Cholecystectomy including unremitting acute cholecystitis, cholangitis, biliary obstruction, gallstone pancreatitis, or biliary-gastrointestinal fistula

This medicine works by reducing the secretion of cholesterol from the liver and the fractional reabsorption of cholesterol by the intestines, which results in lower cholesterol content of bile and gall stones....
Directions for Use of Usibon 300 MG
Take the medicine exactly as directed by your doctor. Usibon tablet is to be administered orally with food. Do not crush, break or chew the tablet. Swallow it whole with water.
Interactions of Usibon 300 MG
Interactions with other medicines
- Administering ursodiol with bile acid sequestering agents such as cholestyramine and colestipol may interfere with the action of ursodiol by reducing its absorption
- Administering ursodiol with aluminum-based antacids have been shown to reduce the absorption of Usibon tablet
- Giving ursodiol with estrogens, oral contraceptives, and clofibrate (and other lipid-lowering medicines) increases encourages cholesterol gallstone formation and may counteract the action of ursodiol

- Store the medicine at 25°C

Dosage of Usibon 300 MG
Overdose
