Urimax 0.4 MG Description

Urimax 0.4 mg capsule is used to treat symptoms of an enlarged prostate (benign prostatic hyperplasia). These symptoms, which occur in men, include painful urination and difficulty passing urine. This medicine contains tamsulosin as the active ingredient. Urimax 0.4 works by relaxing the muscles in the prostate and urethra (the tube that carries urine outside the body). This allows the proper flow of urine and helps in proper urination and bladder emptying.

Benign prostatic hyperplasia is a common condition in older men where there is an enlargement of the prostate gland. The prostate gland is a part of the male reproductive system and is located below the bladder. A few common symptoms of benign prostatic hypertrophy include incomplete emptying of the bladder, trouble passing urine, frequent need to pass urine, and a weak urine flow.

Some other medicines containing tamsulosin are Tamlocept 0.4mg capsule, Tamflo 0.4mg capsule, Urimax 0.4mg capsule, Urinfen 0.4mg capsule, and Dynapres 0.4mg capsule. Take Urimax 0.4 capsule in the exact dose and duration as prescribed by your doctor. It can be taken with or without food. Do not take more than the recommended dose. Swallow it as a whole with a glass of water. Do not cut, break, or chew the medicine.

Do not take this medicine if you are allergic to any of its components. Before taking Urimax 0.4 capsule, inform your doctor about your complete medical history and all other medicines and supplements you take. Urimax 0.4 capsule is not recommended for use in children under 18 years of age.
