• If you are allergic to dextromethorphan, amylmetacresol or any other ingredient of Tusq D Lozenges.
• If you suffer from severe lung disease or are at risk of respiratory failure.
• If you have liver disease.
• If you are taking any selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) medicine such as fluoxetine, paroxetine and sertraline.
• If you are taking or have taken monoamine oxidase inhibitors (MAOIs) such as selegiline, phenelzine, isocarboxazid, etc. in the last 14 days.
• It should not be used for children under 6 years of age.

• Nausea

• Drowsiness

Other General Warnings

• You are allergic to Tusq D Lozenge.
• Your child is below 6 years of age.
• You are suffering from liver or kidney problems.
• You are on any anti-psychiatric medicines.
• You have a history of abuse.
• You are already taking any other medicine for cold and cough.

• Take Tusq D Lozenge in the dose and duration as directed by the doctor.
• Do not handle it with wet hands.
• Place the lozenge in the mouth and allow it to dissolve slowly.

• Store Tusq D Lozenge at or below room temperature.
• Protect it from light and moisture.
• Keep it out of reach of children and pets.

How Does It Work?

• Amylmetacresol works by stopping the growth of the bacteria present in the mouth and throat.
• Dextromethorphan works by reducing cough activity and relieving cough.

Interactions with other medicines

• Some medicines can affect the way Tusq D Lozenge works or it itself can reduce the effectiveness of other medicines taken at the same time.
• Tell your doctor about all the medicines, supplements or herbals you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
• Especially if you are taking medicines such as antipsychotic medicine (fluoxetine, paroxetine and sertraline, haloperidol, thioridazine, perphenazine), monoamine oxidase inhibitors (selegiline, phenelzine, isocarboxazid), medicines to treat irregular heartbeat (amiodarone, propafenone, quinidine and flecainide), medicines to treat hyperparathyroidism, anti-fungal (terbinafine), opioids (methadone) and antihistamines.
