Tryp 25mg Tablet
Tryp 25 MG Description
Tryp 25mg tablet treats depression, neuralgic pain, and migraine. Depression is a medical health condition where the person has constant negative thoughts that affect daily life. Symptoms may includ
e anxiety, mood swings, loss of interest or pleasure in activities, changes in appetite, sleep disturbances, irritability, lack of concentration. Neuropathic pain is a condition caused by damage or injury to the nerves. This results in pain, weakness, tingling and burning sensation in the affected area. Migraine is a severe headache. A person can experience throbbing pain, usually on one side of the head. Other symptoms may include nausea, sensitivity to light and sound. Tryp 25mg tablet contains Amitriptyline, which is a tricyclic antidepressant. It has anticholinergic and sedative effects. It prevents the reuptake and hence inhibits the action of neurotransmitters called noradrenaline and serotonin, which are present at the nerve terminals in our brain. This causes the prevention of their action in the brain. This appears to be associated with antidepressant activity and helps regulate the mood. It also stops the transmission of pain signals from nerves to the brain, thereby relieving neuropathic pain (pain from damaged nerves). This medicine should always be consumed under a medical doctor’s supervision. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) categorises it as a Category C medicine. This means, animal reproduction studies have shown possible adverse effects on the foetus, and there are no adequate or well-controlled studies in humans.
