Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drop is an ophthalmic solution containing tropicamide and phenylephrine as active ingredient. It is used to dilate the pupil before operative procedure. It is also used to dilate
pupil for certain diagnostic procedures. This medicine acts by relaxing the eye muscle and thus dilating the pupil. Tropicacyl Plus is an eye drop and should be used externally only. Use this Eye Drop as advised by your doctor for the prescribed duration.

Uses of Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drops 3ml
- For pre-operative dilation of pupil (mydriasis).
- For diagnostic purposes when treatment with either tropicamide or phenylephrine is not sufficient.
Contraindications of Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drops 3ml
- If you are allergic to tropicamide, phenylephrine or any other ingredient of Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drop.
- If you have glaucoma or eye condition such as changes in iris of the eye.
- Tropicacyl Plus should not be used for children below 12 years of age.

Mode of Action of Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drops 3ml
How Does It Work?
- Tropicamide acts by relaxing the sphincter muscles of the eye, thus dilating the pupil.
- Phenylephrine acts by constricting the blood vessels and relaxing the eye muscles, thereby dilating the pupil.
Directions for Use of Tropicacyl Plus Eye Drops 3ml
- Use this medicine as instructed by your doctor.
- Follow directions carefully & do not miss doses.
- Wash your hands thoroughly before and after applying.
- Close your eyes for 2-3 minutes and do not blink or squeeze.
- Avoid touching your eyes with the dropper and it must be kept clean.
- Wipe any excess liquid from your face with a tissue.
- Use the exact number of drops recommended.
