Medical Description
Trilopace tablet is an anti-hypertensive medicine used for the management of high blood pressure, especially when blood pressure is not adequately controlled with a single medicine. It contains a combination of losartan, amlodipine, and hydrochlorothiazide, which work together to provide better and sustained blood pressure control. By effectively lowering blood pressure, this medicine helps reduce the risk of serious complications such as heart attack, stroke, and kidney damage. Take Trilopace tablet exactly as prescribed by your doctor and do not stop taking it on your own, even if you start feeling well.
Trilopace tablet works through three complementary mechanisms. Losartan blocks the action of angiotensin II, a substance that causes narrowing of blood vessels, thereby helping the blood vessels relax. Amlodipine prevents calcium from entering the blood vessel walls, which leads to widening of the vessels and smoother blood flow. Hydrochlorothiazide increases urine production and helps the body get rid of excess salt and water. Together, these actions reduce the workload on the heart and help maintain stable blood pressure levels throughout the day.
Trilopace tablet should be taken exactly as recommended by your doctor. Swallow the tablet whole with a glass of water and do not crush, break, or chew it. It can be taken with or without food, but taking it at the same time every day helps ensure consistent blood pressure control. Do not take more than the prescribed dose, and inform your doctor about all other medicines or supplements you are taking before starting this medicine.
Some people may experience side effects while taking Trilopace tablet, such as headache, dizziness, tiredness, increased urination, nausea, or abdominal discomfort. These effects are usually mild and improve as your body adjusts to the medicine. However, if you notice severe dizziness, swelling of the face or legs, fainting, or any other unusual symptoms, contact your doctor immediately. Regular monitoring of blood pressure and kidney function may be advised while using this medicine.
