Tricalm Tablet
Description
Tricalm tablet is a prescription medicine used to treat symptoms of schizophrenia (a mental disorder). Managing anxiety and panic disorder symptoms are other uses of Tricalm tablets. The active ingr
edients in Tricalm tablets are Trifluoperazine and Chlordiazepoxide. Trifluoperazine belongs to the class of antipsychotic medications. It works by blocking dopamine receptors in the body. This results in the decreased effect of dopamine (a natural chemical substance in the body), which affects the quality of thoughts and mood. It also lowers hallucinations and delusions in the user. Chlordiazepoxide is a benzodiazepine class of medicine. It increases the activity of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA), which is a chemical messenger. GABA reduces the excessive action of nerve cells in the brain. It blocks stomach acid production and lowers the anxiety associated with this disease. Directions for use of Tricalm tablets should be strictly followed. Some Side effects of Tricalm tablets include dry mouth, nausea, sudden fall in blood pressure, etc. Most of these do not need any medical intervention, and they subside on their own. However, in case of persistent or worsening side effects, it is necessary to consult a doctor. Sudden stoppage of Tricalm tablets can cause withdrawal symptoms such as sweating, nervousness, vomiting, dizziness, etc.
