Tramacad P tablet is an analgesic used for short-term management of pain. It is a fixed-dose combination of two components: Acetaminophen/Paracetamol (325mg) and Tramadol (37.5mg), which relieves pai
n and treats inflammation and swelling in your body. It is used to relieve joint pain, muscle ache and backache. It should only be started by your doctor. The dose and duration should be decided by your doctor (given for not more than five days). It can be taken orally, preferably with food. The common side effects of the medicine include nausea, vomiting, pain abdomen, constipation, dry mouth and somnolence (sedation). The medicine has a risk of dependence, hence should only be used for the recommended duration. In case of overdosage, look for signs such as drowsiness, difficulty in breathing, increased sweating and report to emergency immediately. Consult your doctor if you are a pregnant female or a nursing mother. Inform your doctor about concurrent use of other medications and any existing medical health conditions.

- Tramacad P tablet is used to relieve moderate to severe pain (arthritis, toothache and muscle/backache).
Contraindications of Tramacad P Tablet 10
- Tramacad P is contraindicated in the following cases:
- If you are a child below 12 years of age
- If you have bronchial asthma or breathing difficulties
- If you have a severe allergy to the medicine or any of its constituents (present/past)
- If you have GIT (gastrointestinal tract) obstructions-block or narrowing of the intestine
- If you have concomitant use of MAO (monoamine oxidase) inhibitors like Selegiline
- If you have a child above 18 years of age following tonsil surgery

- The common side effects of Tramacad P are as follows:
- Nausea and vomiting
- Dyspepsia (abdominal pain, diarrhoea and flatulence)
- Somnolence
- Anxiety
- Constipation
- Diaphoresis (increased sweating)
- The serious side effects of Tramacad P are as follows:
- Breathing difficulties

- You experience persistent side effects which worsen over time.
- You have a history of alcoholism.
- You are pregnant or a nursing mother.
- You have a problem urinating.
- You have a history of seizures or head injury.
- You have a history of mental health problems or addiction.

How Does It Work?
Directions for Use of Tramacad P Tablet 10
- Do not start the medicine without consulting a doctor.
- Take the dose and duration of the medicine as prescribed by your doctor. The medicine is usually prescribed for the short term (not more than five days).
- Take the medicine orally, preferably with food with a glass of water as directed.
- Do not chew or crush or attempt to split the tablet.
- Follow your doctor's instructions carefully and regularly to get the maximum benefit.
- Do not consume other analgesics with the same composition along with it.
- Consult your doctor immediately in case of persistent side effects or serious allergic reactions like breathing difficulties.
Interactions of Tramacad P Tablet 10
Interactions with other medicines
- Erythromycin(antibiotic) increases blood levels of Tramacad P, leading to side effects such as nausea, constipation, dizziness, drowsiness.
- Ketoconazole (antifungal)increases blood levels of Tramacad P, leading to side effects and increased risk of breathing difficulties and seizures (fits).
- Selegiline, Linezolid (monoamine oxidase inhibitors) increases the risk of serotonin syndrome-diarrhoea, flushing of the skin, tremors and palpitations.
- Warfarin (an anticoagulant) interferes with the beneficial effect of warfarin.
Interactions with food items
- Tramacad P should be taken with food as it can cause dyspepsia(nausea, vomiting, diarrhoea and abdominal pain). Studies suggest thatTramacad P slows down the digestion of food in the small intestine and reduces the propulsion of food. Please consult your doctor for more information....
