Medical Description
Tord suspension is an antibiotic combination used under a doctor's direction for selected bacterial infections in children, including infections of the teeth, lungs, bowel, abdomen, urinary tract and genital tract. It contains ofloxacin and metronidazole, which act against bacteria, plus simethicone, which helps relieve gas-related bloating. The antibiotics damage bacterial genetic material so the bacteria cannot multiply, while simethicone joins gas bubbles so they pass more easily. Tord suspension is shaken, measured with the supplied device and given by mouth under adult supervision.
