Thalix 100mg Strip Of 10 Capsules
Description
Thalix capsule is an immunomodulatory medicine that contains thalidomide as its active ingredient. It is used to treat skin reactions caused by leprosy and a type of white blood cell cancer. The medicine works by modulating and strengthening the immune system and inhibiting the release of certain chemical substances that cause inflammation and swelling.
Thalix acts by inhibiting the growth and multiplication of cancer cells, preventing them from forming their own blood vessels, which ultimately leads to the death of the cancer cells. It should be taken as advised by a doctor, with a glass of water, and at a fixed time every day for optimal results.
Thalix capsule should not be used by individuals allergic to thalidomide, and it is strictly prohibited for pregnant women or those planning a pregnancy due to the risk of harm to the unborn baby. Male patients who cannot comply with contraceptive methods should also avoid this medicine.
Common side effects of Thalix include dizziness, sleepiness, constipation, and peripheral swelling. It may also lead to tremors, anaemia, or a decreased blood count. Patients should avoid driving after taking this medicine and should not consume alcohol, as it may worsen the side effects.
