Medical Description
Tenepla M 1000mg/20mg Tablet SR is an oral anti-diabetic medicine used to manage type 2 diabetes mellitus. It contains a combination of teneligliptin and metformin, which work together to help control blood sugar levels. This medicine is prescribed when diet and exercise alone are not enough to maintain healthy blood glucose levels. By keeping blood sugar in check, Tenepla M 1000mg/20mg Tablet SR helps reduce the risk of long-term diabetes-related complications.
Teneligliptin in Tenepla M 1000mg/20mg Tablet SR helps the body release insulin after meals, while metformin decreases the production of sugar in the liver and improves the body’s response to insulin. Together, these actions help lower elevated blood glucose levels and keep them within a healthy range. Regular use of this medicine is important to achieve optimal blood sugar control.
You should take Tenepla M 1000mg/20mg Tablet SR exactly as prescribed by your doctor. The dose and duration will depend on your blood sugar levels and overall health. Do not skip doses or take more than prescribed, as this can lead to uncontrolled blood sugar or unwanted side effects. Taking the medicine at the same time each day helps maintain consistent blood levels.
Before starting Tenepla M 1000mg/20mg Tablet SR, inform your doctor about your complete medical history, including kidney or liver problems, heart disease, or any other chronic condition. Also, mention all other medications, supplements, or herbal products you are taking to prevent potential drug interactions. People with type 1 diabetes or those allergic to its components should not take this medicine.
Common side effects may include mild nausea, stomach upset, or dizziness, which usually improve over time. If you experience persistent or severe side effects, contact your doctor immediately. Along with taking this medicine, maintaining a balanced diet, exercising regularly, staying hydrated, and monitoring your blood sugar levels are essential for effective diabetes management and overall health.
