Tedykoff Syrup relieves the cough associated with running nose and throat infection. Tedykoff Syrup works by dual-action. It mainly contains pholcodine and promethazine as its active content. Coug
h is a condition that occurs due to throat dryness and infection or a lungs infection associated with the running nose. It also helps reduce the symptoms of allergies such as stuffy nose, sneezing, runny nose, watery eyes, throat irritation, etc. The dose and the duration of this medicine vary with the severity of a condition.

Uses of Tedykoff Syrup 60 Ml
- As per CDSCO, Tedykoff Syrup is used for symptomatic relief of dry, ticklish, and unproductive coughs.
Contraindications of Tedykoff Syrup 60 Ml
- If you are hypersensitive to the active substance or any of the ingredients.
- If you have or are at risk of developing respiratory failure or during an attack of asthma.
- If you have conditions of the respiratory tract such as chronic bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), bronchiolitis, or bronchiectasis due to sputum retention.
- If you are being treated with monoamine oxidase inhibitors or within two weeks of cessation of their use
- If you have been in a coma before or suffering from CNS depression of any cause.
- In cases of liver failure.
- In children under two years.

Pregnancy

Breast Feeding

There is not enough research regarding the use of the ingredients in Tedykoff Syrup during breastfeeding. Hence, it is not recommended for use while breastfeeding.
Driving

- You have a history of addiction. Caution is needed in patients with such a history. Pholcodine is an opioid, and addiction is observed with opioids as a class.
Mode of Action of Tedykoff Syrup 60 Ml
How Does It Work?
Pholcodine is an antitussive agent. This means an agent that helps to reduce cough. It acts on the cough centre present in the lower brain to suppress the cough centre, which relieves one from cough.
Histamine is an active substance responsible for the allergic running nose and cough. It acts by binding to receptors present on cells in the brain and other body parts.
Promethazine works by acting on a type of histamine receptor called the H1 receptor to stop the release of histamine, which leads to relief from running nose and cough associated with a throat infection....
Directions for Use of Tedykoff Syrup 60 Ml
- The bottle should be shaken well before pouring the Tedykoff Syrup into the cup.
- Take the Tedykoff Syrup in quantity prescribed and swallow it with a glass of water as directed by your doctor.
- Take it only in the dose and duration as prescribed by a medical professional.
- The dosage may be repeated after 4 hours if required but not more than four doses in 24 hours.
Interactions of Tedykoff Syrup 60 Ml
Interactions with other medicines
- Patients on Monoamine oxidase or within 14 days of stopping treatment should not take Tedykoff Syrup as it increases the chances of side effects.
- Its use is to be avoided with medications that have a depressant action on the brain (central nervous system). This includes opioid painkillers, sedatives, and certain general anaesthetics.
- It should be avoided with sedatives and hypnotics (belonging to classes such as barbiturates or benzodiazepines) such as clonazepam, alprazolam, or diazepam. Concomitant use can result in excessive drowsiness....
- The use of medications used to lower blood pressure, such as furosemide or spironolactone, should be avoided as it can cause an excessive drop in blood pressure.

Storage and disposal of Tedykoff Syrup 60 Ml
Maxcoff T Syrup should be stored at room temperature 25℃. Place the bottle in a cool place, away from light. It should be kept in a place where children and pets cannot reach it. Dispose of expired/unused as per instruction on the packaging....
Dosage of Tedykoff Syrup 60 Ml
Overdose
Adults generally suffer from symptoms of loss of consciousness and coma.
In children, an overdose may manifest with hallucinations, hyperactive behaviour, excitement, loss of coordination, or abnormal muscle movements. This can cause drowsiness, slow down the breathing rate, or even coma.
In case of an accidental or suspected overdose, visit the nearest hospital immediately....
Missed a Dose
If you have missed a dose of the Tedykoff Syrup, take it as soon as possible. There should be a gap of at least 4-6 hours between two doses. If it is almost time for the next dose, skip the missed dose and continue with your regular dosing schedule....
