Susten 400 Oral/Vaginal/Rectal Capsule
Description
Susten 400 capsules contain progesterone as their active ingredient. This medication is prescribed to treat gynecological disorders related to low progesterone levels. Progesterone is a natural hormone produced in the body that plays a crucial role in regulating the menstrual cycle and supporting pregnancy.
Susten works by maintaining adequate progesterone levels and mimicking its effects in the body. It is typically used for conditions affecting the female reproductive cycle, including infertility, irregular periods, and abnormal uterine bleeding.
Common side effects may include headache, breast pain, irregular vaginal bleeding or spotting, stomach cramps, bloating, nausea, vomiting, hair loss, swelling, and yeast infections in the vagina. These side effects are often more pronounced in the first few weeks of treatment, but usually decrease as your body adjusts to the medication.
Before taking Susten 400 capsules, inform your doctor if you have a history of breast cancer, unusual vaginal bleeding, or liver disease. You may need to undergo several tests before and during treatment to monitor your uterus. Additionally, let your doctor know about any other medications you are taking, as some drugs may interact with Susten. It is generally advisable to avoid alcohol and smoking while using this medication.
