Stemetil Injection is a prescription medicine used in the treatment of nausea, vomiting and post-operative emesis & migraines. It's also used to alleviate anxiety and dizziness caused by ear illnesse

s. Stemetil Injection contains prochlorperazine as an active ingredient. It works by blocking the action of dopamine, a chemical messenger in the brain that regulates thoughts and mood and stimulates the vomiting centre responsible for nausea and vomiting. Therefore, Stemetil Injection shows an antiemetic action by inhibiting dopamine. Stemetil Injection should be taken in dosage and duration as advised by your doctor. There are also many side effects associated with this medicine, so it is advised to take it after the doctor’s consultation and dosage must be carefully monitored. Do not stop taking this medicine suddenly without consulting your doctor, as it can cause clinical worsening of your condition or may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

Before administering the injection, it should be diluted with equal amounts of compatible diluent.
Administer Stemetil Injection precisely as advised by your doctor. Do not exceed the prescribed dosage, even if you cannot feel its effects.
To avoid the development of tolerance or dependence, the lowest effective dose will be prescribed for the shortest time possible.
Elderly persons should be given a lower dose of this medicine.
