Mode of Action of Stamlo D Strip Of 15 Tablets
How Does It Work?
Hydrochlorothiazide affects the mechanism of electrolyte reabsorption in the distal renal tubule. This causes excretion of excess water and reduces swelling in the body. Amlodipine hinders the influx of calcium ions into vascular smooth muscle and cardiac muscle. Thereby it lowers blood pressure....
Directions for Use of Stamlo D Strip Of 15 Tablets
- Stamlo D Tablet is to be taken orally, with or without a meal. The dose differs on the patient's healthcare profile
- Do not crush, chew or break the table.
- Swallow the whole tablet with water
Interactions of Stamlo D Strip Of 15 Tablets
Interactions with other medicines
- Other antihypertensives may cause an additive effect or potentiation of hydrochlorothiazide.
- Anionic exchange resins impair the absorption of hydrochlorothiazide.
- Corticosteroids intensify electrolyte depletion, particularly hypokalemia, with hydrochlorothiazide.
- Amlodipine given with CYP3A4 inhibitors, in elderly patients, increases the systemic exposure of amlodipine.
- Amlodipine given with CYP3A4 inducers is closely monitored for change in blood pressure.
- If you consume other medications, do mention it to your physician before administering Stamlo D Tablet.
Storage and disposal of Stamlo D Strip Of 15 Tablets
- Store the tablets at controlled room temperature, 15° to 30°C and in tight, amber colored containers. Do not flush in the drain.
- Keep away from children and pets.
- Keep away from excess moisture
Dosage of Stamlo D Strip Of 15 Tablets
Overdose
- Overdose of Stamlo D Tablet may cause excessive peripheral vasodilation, reflex tachycardia and hypotension.
- Do seek immediate medical attention if you over dose.
Missed a Dose
If you miss a dose of Stamlo D Tablet, do not take double doses. Simply take your next scheduled dose.
