Spasmonil Plus Strip Of 10 Tablets Description

Spasmonil Plus tablet contains Dicyclomine and Mefenamic acid. It is an antispasmodic medicine used to treat spasms and pain in the abdomen during or before menses. The medicine must not be used for

more than 7 days. If the pain persists, consult the doctor. Take with food or after food. The medicine must not be given to children below 12 years of age. It is advisable to give them the paediatric formulations of the medicine.

Uses of Spasmonil Plus Strip Of 10 Tablets

It is used to relieve stomach cramps and pain during the menstrual cycle.

Contraindications of Spasmonil Plus Strip Of 10 Tablets

If you are allergic to Mefenamic acid, Dicyclomine or other ingredients of the medicine.
If you have inflammatory bowel disease, gastrointestinal bleeding or obstruction in the intestine.
If you have kidney, liver or heart function problem.
If you have asthma or develop an asthmatic attack due to painkillers.
If you have difficulty in passing urine or obstruction in the bladder and kidney.
If you a condition of weakness in muscles.
If you have increased eye pressure.
It must not be used in infants below 6-months of age.
The medicine must not be used in the last trimester of pregnancy or are breastfeeding.
The medicine must not be used for managing pain before, during and after coronary bypass surgery.

The medicine is taken while breastfeeding as it is usually safe.

Can I drive if I have consumed Spasmonil Plus Tablet?

You may experience dizziness, drowsiness, tiredness or visual disturbance after taking Meftal Spas. Caution is advised while driving or operating machinery.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol while taking Spasmonil Plus Tablet?

No direct interaction is available of Spasmonil Plus Tablet tablet with alcohol. There is a risk of liver damage in chronic alcoholics and people with liver problems if you are taking the medicine and consume alcohol.

If you are using medicines to treat a medical condition like high blood pressure, heart failure, bacterial or fungal infections, bleeding disorders, etc.
Spasmonil Plus Tablet must not be taken for 8 to 12 days after taking a medicine called Mifepristone.
