• If you are allergic to tannic acid, choline salicylate, benzalkonium chloride, menthol or any other ingredient of Smilogel Mouth Gel.
• If you are allergic to salicylic acid or salicylates like aspirin. If you are not sure what these medicines are, please confirm with your doctor.
• If you have an active stomach ulcer.

Other General Warnings

• You have breathing disorders like asthma.
• You have digestive system problems like ulcers.
• You have any blood clotting disorders.

• Smilogel Mouth Gel should be used exactly as recommended by your doctor.
• Wash your hands before and after applying this medicine.
• Take a pea-sized amount on the tip of your finger and massage it into the affected area. Do not swallow.
• Avoid contact with eyes. In case of contact with the eyes, rinse with clean water immediately.

• Store Smilogel Mouth Gel in a cool and dry place below 25°C away from direct sunlight.
• Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Overdose

• Upon accidental ingestion of Smilogel Mouth Gel, inform your doctor or visit the nearest hospital.
• If you have applied extra quantities of this medicine, wipe off the excess with a clean tissue or cotton.

Missed a Dose

• If you missed applying Smilogel Mouth Gel, apply it as soon as you remember.
• If it's time for your next application, then skip the missed application and continue with your regular dosing schedule.
• Do not overapply to compensate for the missed application.

How Does It Work?

• Smilogel Mouth Gel contains a combination of tannic acid, choline salicylate, benzalkonium chloride and menthol as active substances.
• Tannic acid is an astringent. It helps to heal and provide relief from irritation in the mouth and mucous membrane. It is also an antiseptic that forms a protective layer and allows healing by destroying the bacteria in the applied area.
• Choline salicylate is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory medicine (NSAID). It helps to reduce pain, swelling and redness by blocking certain chemicals called prostaglandins in the applied area.
• Benzalkonium chloride is an antiseptic that prevents the growth of bacteria and fungi and also acts as a preservative.
• Menthol is a counter-irritant that helps to relieve pain.

Interactions with other medicines

• Some medicines can affect the way how Smilogel Mouth Gel works or this medicine itself can affect the working of other medicines.
• Inform your doctor about all other medicines, herbals or supplements that you are currently taking or might take to avoid any possible interaction.
• Particular care should be taken if you are taking other salicylates (for treating fever, pain and inflammation), anti-gout medicines and anticoagulants (for preventing the clotting of blood).
