- For the treatment of increased pressure of eyes (open-angle glaucoma and ocular hypertension).
Contraindications of SIMBRINZA BOTTLE OF 5ML EYE DROPS
- If you are allergic to Brinzolamide, Brimonidine or any other ingredient of this eye drop.
- If you are allergic to certain diabetic medicines of the sulphonamide group.
- If you are taking some medicines for mental health disorders (MAO inhibitors, tricyclic antidepressants).
- If you are suffering from severe kidney disorder.
- If you are suffering from increased acid levels in the blood (hyperchloremic acidosis).
- For children below 2 years of age.

How Does It Work?
- The pressure inside eyes is raised due to either excessive secretion of fluid (aqueous humour) or reduced outflow of the fluid.
- Simbrinza Eye Drops 5ml contains a combination of two medicines, Brinzolamide and Brimonidine which work together to reduce the secretion of aqueous humour in the eye and increase its outflow from eyes which in turn reduces the pressure of eyes (intraocular pressure IOP)....

Interactions with other medicines
- Concomitant use of oral medicines of the same group or blood pressure-lowering medicines should be done with caution.
- Medicines containing salicylate may cause acid-base imbalance when given together with Simbrinza Eye Drops 5ml.
- Side effects may worsen if medicines acting on the central nervous system like anaesthetic agents, opiates, barbiturates or sedatives are given concomitantly.
- Medicines given for mental health disorders (MAO inhibitors, antidepressants) should be used with caution.
- Discuss with your doctor about any other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking currently to avoid any interactions.
