Siliostru-D tablet is used for the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in men with an enlarged prostate gland. It is a condition that occurs majorly in elderly men characterised by discom

fort and disturbed urine flow. Siliostru-D has dutasteride and sildosin as its active ingredients. This medicine helps in easing the symptoms of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) like difficulty in passing urine, frequent urination, increased frequency of urination at night or inability to empty the bladder. Sildosin acts by relaxing the smooth muscles, resulting in the improvement in urine flow, while dutasteride acts by reducing the size of the prostate gland. Take this medicine as advised by your doctor and in doses and duration as prescribed.

If you suffer from a severe disorder of the liver or kidneys.

Siliostru-D can make you feel sleepy, dizzy, alter your concentration level or may lead to changes in blood pressure at times. Do not drive until you are sure that you are alert and stable to drive.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Siliostru-D tablet?

It is recommended not to take alcohol while taking the medicine, as alcohol may increase the effects of the medicine. This results in low blood pressure, dizziness or fainting at times. Thus, talk to your doctor if you consume it often.

How Does It Work?

Sildosin works by relaxing the smooth muscles, which facilitates the flow of urine and relieves the discomfort due to the enlarged prostate gland.

Take this medication as whole with a glass of water with meal to reduce adverse effects.

Interactions of Siliostru D Strip Of 10 Capsules

Interactions with other medicines

Antifungal medicines such as ketoconazole, itraconazole, immunosuppressant medicine such as cyclosporine and antiviral medicine such as ritonavir should be avoided with Siliostru-D tablet.
Concomitant use of blood pressure medicines should be done with caution, as it may lead to excessive lowering of blood pressure.
Discuss with your doctor any other medicines, herbal preparations and supplements you are taking currently to avoid interactions.

Storage and disposal of Siliostru D Strip Of 10 Capsules

Keep this medicine out of the sight and reach of children and pets.
Do not store it above 25°C.
Do not throw the expired or damaged medication via household waste of wastewater. Ask your pharmacist about the proper disposal of medicines no longer required.
