Sestil Ad Strip Of 10 Tablets
Description
Sestil AD tablet is an anti-diarrhoeal medicine. It is used to treat diarrhoea and works by slowing the contraction of the intestines, thereby slowing the passage of the contents through it. This allows more time for fluid and nutrient reabsorption, making stools more solid and less frequent. Sestil AD tablet contains loperamide as its active ingredient. It has some side effects, such as headache, nausea and constipation.
You can stop taking this medicine once you get relief from diarrhoea. Avoid taking Sestil AD if you have diarrhoea with blood or diarrhoea caused by bacterial infection. Inform the doctor about other medicines that you are taking, before starting with this medicine.
It should not be used for children who are below 9 years of age. You should avoid excess spices, oils and sugars in your food while on this medicine. Drink plenty of fluids and water to stay hydrated.
