Uses
- According to CDSCO, Serlift is used for:
- Treatment of major depressive disorder.
- Treatment of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD).
- Treatment of panic disorder.
Contraindications
- If you are allergic to any component of the Serlift Tablet.
- If you are already taking other antidepressant medicine.
- If you are pregnant.
- If you are a breastfeeding mother.
- If you have kidney-related conditions.
- If you have liver-related diseases.

Directions for Use
- Take Serlift Tablet exactly as prescribed by the doctor
- Take it at the same time regularly.
- Take the medication as a whole with a full glass of water. Do not break the tablet or chew this medicine.
- You can take the Serlift Tablet before or after consuming food or as prescribed by your doctor.
- Do not exceed the recommended dosage as it can lead to overdose.
- Do not stop using it abruptly, as it may lead to withdrawal symptoms.

How Does It Work?
Interactions
Interactions with other medicines
- Tell your doctor and pharmacist what prescription and non-prescription medications, herbal products, vitamins and nutritional supplements you are consuming or plan to take as there is a chance of interaction. Several medicines can interact with Serlift Tablet, making it less effective or increasing side effects.
- Antipsychotics like Risperidone or Risperdal increase the risk of QTc prolongation (heart muscles taking more time than normal to recharge) and ventricular arrhythmias (abnormal heart rhythms).
- Antidepressants like clomipramine and desipramine may cause serotonin syndrome, which is potentially life-threatening.
- Anti-seizure medicines like lamotrigine and topiramate contain Sertraline may increase phenytoin concentrations.
- Antiplatelet agents (aspirin, heparin, warfarin)- Increases the risk of bleeding.
Interactions with food items
- You can continue with the usual diet as food doesn’t influence the effect of the Serlift Tablet. Avoid consuming this medicine with cola drinks, chocolates and caffeine-containing food items as it can result in serotonin syndrome(high levels of serotonin).
- Speak with your doctor about any supplements or herbal drinks you are currently taking before using this medicine.
