Rumorf 10 MG Description

Rumorf tablet is used to relieve moderate to severe pain. It has a single active ingredient, Morphine. It belongs to the category of medications that reduces pain. Uses of Rumorf tablets include mana

ging moderate to severe pain in acute (sudden) or chronic (long-lasting) conditions. Pain arises when certain chemical substances in the body are released due to an injury. The brain sends a signal to the part of the body where the injury has occurred, causing the sensation of pain. Rumorf tablets help in blocking these pain-inducing chemicals from the brain. It is considered a safe medication when taken in the prescribed dosage. Note that this medicine has a high potential for causing dependency issues. Take this medicine only on the recommendation of a doctor. In case of kidney- or liver-related issues, consult a doctor before taking this medication. Some people can experience withdrawal symptoms, such as irritation, agitation, sweating, etc. on stopping this medication after long-term use. It is not advised to take Rumorf tablets continuously for more than a few days unless advised by a doctor.

Uses of Rumorf 10 MG

As per USFDA, Rumorf tablet is used for managing moderate to severe pain in both acute and chronic conditions in which similar pain relievers are considered appropriate.

Contraindications of Rumorf 10 MG

If you are allergic to any component of Rumorf tablets.
If you have liver failure or other conditions that affect the functioning of the liver, these conditions increase the risks of adverse reactions.
If you have a history of alcohol or drug abuse.
If you have severe respiratory depression (slow and steady decline of respiration).
If you have been diagnosed with paralytic ileus (paralysis of the intestines).
If you are suffering from respiratory issues like asthma.
If your body has been in shock, with not enough blood to pump to all parts of the body.
Do not administer a Romorf tablet to children below 17 years without consulting a doctor, as it contains morphine which is an opioid pain reliever.

Breast Feeding

This medicine can cause drowsiness, respiratory depression (steady decline in breathing), and even death since newborn babies can be sensitive to even small doses of this medicine. This medicine will be prescribed by the doctors only when necessary and for a short duration. During this time, the health of the baby should be monitored closely.

Driving

Can I drive if I have taken a Rumorf tablet?

No. Driving is not recommended after taking Rumorf tablet since it contains morphine which is an opioid pain reliever. This medicine can cause side effects such as lightheadedness, drowsiness, blurred vision, etc., which can affect the ability to focus while driving and thereby be a threat to both the driver and others around.

Alcohol

Can I consume alcohol with Rumorf tablet?

No. Do not consume alcohol with Rumorf tablet as it can exaggerate the effects of alcohol. This combination can cause side effects like drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, unconsciousness, dizziness, etc.
